Centrifugal Casting Process This casting process has limited application in manufacturing circular components. Viz. Cylinders. Bushes. Sleeves. Bearing case Rings. In this process also metal die is to be made and rotated by the machine. Liquid metal is melted and poured at center and metal is cast inside the die. Liquid metal thus cast is solidified under centrifugal force. Since the metal is cast under heavy pressure, casting is dense and free from casting defects like Blowholes, inclusions, etc. Moreover, desired grain size and type can also be achieved.
